A Story about Acceptance
BY JACOB
Once
upon a time there was an elephant that didn’t fit in. His name was… NORTON with
a capital N, O, R, T, O,N. NORTON was
very pink, had wings and a beak. He
also hatched from an egg. The other
elephants called him a flamingo. NORTON
only had one friend, his name was Bartholomew. Bartholomew was orange. He was very annoying and he was always eating
NORTON’S feathers. NORTON always went
to Bartholomew for a haircut. NORTON
went to Bartholomew for help to be like the rest of the elephants.
“You want to be an elephant but you are a
FLAMINGO. Do you understand me?!” Bartholomew
shouted.
“Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
I thought I could be an elephant, *sniff*” NORTON said.
“Whatever”
Bartholomew screamed!
“WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
NORTON screamed back.
“Fine I’ll help” Bartholomew sighed. “I’ll eat
your feathers, but it will hurt a lot”.
Now
it was NORTON’S turn to say “whatever”. Bartholomew started eating. “WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
NORTON cried.
“Now
you look like an elephant”, said Bartholomew.
*Sniff* “but it hurt, WAHHHHHHHH!!”
When
NORTON went home all the elephants called him handsome. He now was a true elephant. When his feathers grew back, the other
elephants still liked NORTON THE ELEPHANT.
