                “Hiiiyahhh” said bobby the red marker “owwww” said Amanda the blue marker. “Why did you do that to blue” said purple.

“i don’t know it just happened and i have no idea why.”

“Bobby you know not to do that and that is wrong.”

“I know and I’m sorry”.

“Okay but don’t say it to me say it to Amanda”.

“Okay I’m sorry, Amanda.”

“That’s okay. hey purple do you want to play with red and me tomorrow?”

“Sure what are we playing?”

“We’re playing draw .”

“wait what is draw?”

“Draw is where you draw what your color is made for like red, red is for  a angry face.”

“Well okay I’ll play.”

“great see you tomorrow.”

First quarter

The Bills went for the kick off Ej Wakings caught it going for the fifty yard line. The Bills are taking it from the fifty. They’re going for it …….they got it and the crowd went wild. They’re going for the kick. Yay the crowd thinks. The Bills are kicking it to the Giants. Touch back there taking it from the thirty. Going to the fifty yard line. The crowd goes wild. But good for the Bills they have their zone. It’s third and twenty. Flag on the Giants…. it was face masks. TOCHDOWN!!!!! The crowd goes wild. The score is 7-7.

           Second quarter

 The Giants kick to the Bills. The Bills are going for it down at the sixty yard line. The crowd goes wild. The Bills went all “I’m awesome” so the Giants got mad. The Bills right there got a touchdown. So now the Bills kicked it to the Giants. The Giants got down at the forty yard line. Sacked by the Bills.  Hike, Giants throw the ball to the fifty yard line. Interception, Bills have the ball taking it to thirty yard line.

Third quarter

The Bills throw the ball ticked by the Giants. The Bills kicked the ball to the Giants. The Giants fumble the ball. The Bills take the offer. Sacked by the Giants. “YAY”, the crowed screams. The Bills throw the ball. TOUCHDOWN Buffalo Bills. The crowed goes wild. It looks like there is more Bills fans then Giant fans (that is good for me not Lindsay).

Fourth quarter

The Giants kick the ball to the Bills. They catch it but then they fumble the ball. The good thing is that they recover the ball.

Sacked at the third down. The score is 20-29.

The Bills are winning. YAY!! The bills fans scream but a couple of boos from the giant’s side. L

Hello. I’m Ada. I asked mark Shulman some questions. Among these questions there is the answer to why he became an author, his inspiration and much more.

He became an author because his wife was a teacher and seeing the kids made him want to do something for them. That leads to the source of his inspiration. And the secret to his success is … KIDS!

His inspiration is kids. He writes because of kids. And he has been writing since he was… a kid. But since he was a kid he writes faster, wright? Well it depends on how long the story is.

 Speaking of how long, how long out of that time is reading over before being sent to the editor? We don’t know. But we do know he rereads it a lot before sending it to the editor.

Now, we know about reading being important but why is this? Well it’s important if you want to become a writer.  Mark Shulman say’s “It’s as important for writers to know how to read as it’s important for artists to be able to see.”

Well now that we know how important it is for writers to read it’s time for some advice. Mark Shulman say’s “Don’t stop writing. If you keep writing things that are interesting then you’ll keep getting better and better without realizing it. And don’t stop having fun.”

Now! Time for some fun facts. Mark Shulman’s main challenge was sitting down. Also even though he is funny he’s not a comedian. Also his favorite animal is the naked vole rat. His favorite restaurant is an old place that was long since gone. It was called Campeis. His favorite candies are hot balls. Some other jobs that he’s had are camp counselor and he has also worked at a restaurant named ginger boy. Once Donald Trump dined there. Also his favorite job was being a tour guide. His kids are named Solomin and Hanah. His favorite breakfast food are bagels. Although he likes waffles. He loves waffles with chicken. It’s one of his favorite’s.

       One day it was snowing and a girl was walking to school and she saw it was snowing and so she went to another girl and said, “hey guess what it’s snowing!” and then the other girl said at the same time “hey do you want to be friends?” and then they laughed ha ha. Then they went into school and then sat next to each other and then they started talking and then the teacher got mad and split them up. And then the bell rang, bring bring, and the girls got up and ran to their bus. But then one of the girls slipped on the ice and then she was rushed to the hospital and every day her friend would go to the hospital and visit her. But then the next day she visited her she couldn’t find her. So she ran to school with hope she was there and she found her but not in school on the sidewalk sitting waiting and waiting and waiting. So then the girl walked to the other girl and tapped her on the shoulder and the girl jumped up and hugged her and the next day they did everything together and nothing could stop them.

But Low wore him out. And Bob senior was less of a blob. “And l will put him in jail”. Said Low. And saved the day. And Low got lots of money$! “We can’t break into our neighbor’s house!”

 Shouted Maddie angrily.

 “Shhhhh are you trying to wake up the whole neighborhood?” whispered Lilly.

Lilly pulled out an unbent paper clip and began to pick the lock.

“STOP LILLY I DON’T WANT TO GET IN TROUBLE!” Maddie said even louder.

“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh” said Lilly.

 The door swings open and ALMOST sucks them in. Lilly grabs the door; Maddie grabs her shoes.

“WHAT DID YOU DO LILLY”! Shouted Maddie.

“I DON’T KNOW”! Shouted Lilly.

 Like a big hand a huge gush of wind shoved them inside.

A while later

“Uuuuu…. My head”… said Lilly heavy headed.

 “Where am I?” said Lilly more aware of her surroundings.

“Oh my...wake up Maddie.” said Lilly, surprised.

“Uuuuu…wake me up later mommy”. Said Maddie still fast asleep.

“MADDIE WAKE UP AND LOOK”. Shouted Lilly angrily.

“Who, what, where, when!” Said Maddie now wide awake. Lilly and Maddie both saw an empty old house with worn out walls and strange Noises that made Lilly and Maddie’s hair stand on end.

Creeeeek!

“Www... What was that?” Said Lilly now shivering.

The Nosie was coming from the closet. The Nosie inched closer.

My name is Liv and I hate bed time. Ever since my sister Rachel told me a very, very scary story… What was that, you want to hear it? I thought so…

       Once there lived a girl named Maddie. She wasn’t afraid of anything. When I say anything, I mean anything. Not bugs, the dark, monsters…anything! But that night the fearless girl heard a noise. But of course, she wasn’t scared she just laid there waiting for sleep to come. Then she heard it again. Now annoyed, she rolled over. She felt a chill down her spine. She went downstairs to get a glass of warm milk when she heard her name.  “Maddie.”

“Stop, Carlos!” She said (as her brother, he always played tricks on her). No reply. “Seriously? Stop I’m too tired for your stupid tricks”.  Still no reply. “Wow, great, I’m just going back to bed now, you have fun. Good night.”

       As Maddie went back to her bedroom the door slams behind her. “Umm, that was weird.” Suddenly the light flickered on and off on and off. “Oh my gosh!! Whoever is doing that STOP NOW!!” 

The light turned off. “Thank you!” Then that morning she wasn’t in her bed, the kitchen, nowhere; Maddie was gone. Forever. No one knew where she went or how she left, but she wasn’t there.

       So are you scared? Well I did warn you. Does that explain why I hate bedtime. Well I’m spooked!

At that exact moment the knock happened again only louder and then again. By now it was extremely loud and I prayed that whatever it was didn’t have the strength to break the door down.  I hid under my covers but then CRACK!!!!! The door bursts open and I hear growling sounds.  At that moment, I realized it was a zombie! I ran out the back door.  Once I was outside I ran and ran until I saw the road and then some houses.  Finally I saw my neighbor and ran towards him. 

The reason I was running is I live in a cottage in the woods and that is in the middle of nowhere. Learn more in part 3.

“Why it’s the scariest story of them all.  This is the story of how I survived the zombies.”

It was a dark night, I was preparing for bed.  You know, brushing my teeth and getting my pajamas on and all that stuff.  Then I heard a knock on my door right as I was getting into my bed.  I thought I must have been just winded from the day and that I was hearing things, so I got in bed and then I heard it again.  This time a little bit louder. Then all of a sudden right as I was about to fall asleep…Find out what happens in part 2.

It was an ordinary day, there was a man that worked at an animal shelter.  His job is to feed the animals, wash the animals, and put the animals to sleep.  Friday night the man was putting the animals to sleep and after that night he vanished.  The next day, another man got hired and that day he vanished too.   So, the bosses knew something fishy was going on.  The boss said he would do the job and after that night he disappeared too.  People put a closed sign on the animal shelter.

 

Three years later the animal shelter was still there.  One day two kids saw the animal shelter, their names were Melisa and Jacob.

Jacob said “Let’s go in.”

“I don’t think so Jacob.” said Melisa.

 “You’re not afraid are you?” asked Jacob.

“No way let’s go in.”

 said Melisa

 “Ok then.” Said Jacob.

They went in and Jacob took a good look and then he saw a sheep that was creepy looking!

“Let’s get out of here,” said Melisa.

“No.” said Jacob.

Jacob went to pet the sheep, but when he went to pet the sheep the sheep bit his finger very hard.

“Let’s get out of here!” yelled Melisa.

“Yes let’s go!” shouted Jacob.

From that day on the two kids never went in that farm ever again.

Are new neighbor just pulled up in her driveway. 

“She looks like she’s dead.” said Maddie.

“She does.” said Lilly.

“I wonder why?” said both at the same time.

“How about we find out!” said Lilly.

That night

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” said Maddie in a scared way.

“Have I ever been wrong?” asked Lilly sarcastically.

A look of confusion came across Maddie’s face, then extra fear.

“You are always wrong!” Said Maddie angrily.

“Don’t have to rub it in my face.” Said Lilly upset.

Then a sound of screeching hit their ears.  They looked up at attacking bats flying right at them. Then flying towards the moon.

“That was strange!” yelled Maddie.

 “Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” said Lilly.

“Ok, ok, ok.” said Maddie.

They began to approach their new neighbor’s door.

“Ok I will ring the doorbell.” Said Maddie.

“No!” shouted Lilly. “We are sneaking in.” said Lilly in her sneaky voice.

“WHAT!?!?!?” shouted Maddie.

One day Little Star was all alone, so her mom “Mama Star’’ went to see her.  When Mama Star got there she saw Little Star all alone.  She had an idea.  She went to Little Star’s friend’s house and got Little Star’s friend and drove her to see Little Star.  Then, Little Star got so excited that she got up and danced until it was time for bed.  When Little Star’s mom said, it was time for bed, Little Star said “NO!”  

Mama Star said, “Little Star, why don’t you want to go to bed?”

Little Star said, “Because I miss my friend.”

Mama Star said, “Little Star you will see her tomorrow.”

Little Star said, “okay.”

Then Mama Star took a blanket to Little Star and tucked her in and said “good night.”

  One day, on Alcatraz Island. A clan of werewolves roamed around as their pup Jasper Davis (that’s me) attended San Francisco Elementary in the fifth grade. On the rival island near Alcatraz a colony of vampires feasted on a midnight snack… Chicken Nuggets (Pigeon Meat). The werewolves always judged humans from afar until they take Alcatraz prison tours… then the party starts. The Vampires had a new kid in the colony Trevor LeFae. He dropped his ring and I pocketed it. I had just harnessed the power of any time transforming. When I got home my clan was circling the cells and I used the “new” ring to turn into a werewolf. My clan went crazy and the leader snapped at me. I snarled then howled until he stopped. He sent me to my cell (cell number 213) I howled and got a response from all the other pups on my cell block. The block leader came around with a baton knocking on every cell door for them to quiet down.     

“Don’t you dare?” I yelled.

  “How Cute a pup, maybe a trip to the pound will set you straight” He replied.

   I barked till he ran off. A tour was going on the very next morning. One particular person caught my eye Sammy Haskins. Then we all went to sleep (To Be Continued) JK, that’s All Folks.

All About Seeing Eye Dogs

                Have you ever seen a person holding on to a harness attached to a dog? Those people might be blind. They don’t have any vision and need help getting around. Still wondering why he’s using a dog? The dog that this person is using is called a guide dog, or a seeing eye dog. These dogs are specially trained to help these people find their way around. When these dogs are young puppies they go to special trainers that teach them how to become these dogs. The dogs have to learn certain commands such as “sit”, ”stay”, ”go  forward”, “go backwards”, and many, many more! Once these dogs get a little bit older and learn all there commands and get certified, then it’s time to find a blind person to be their owners. Once a blind person finds a good dog they go out on their first day of work! (The nice thing is that some guide dog schools let the blind people buy the dog for free!) When the dogs are at work, their owners are depending on them to keep them safe, and the dogs know that too! With a little help and some support from a furry companion you can do anything you want with sight or without.

It was a stormy night at midnight and there was a little girl who loved Halloween.  Halloween was just two days away.  So the little girl was very, very excited.  On the morning of Halloween, the little girl woke up and started screaming Halloween Halloween!

That night she went trick-or-treating and got a lot of candy!  Then she went to bed but still heard kids outside getting candy!  After a few seconds it was quiet and her closet opened very slowly.  Then it opened some more.  She just thought it was her big brother but, it wasn’t her brother!   She went back to bed and the thing was still in her closet.  After that night, no one new what happened to the little girl!

William’s 100^th Birthday

There was a guy named William who woke up, got his cane, and looked at the calendar and noticed that it was his birthday!  His 100^th birthday!  Then he noticed he accomplished his goal.   He lived to 100!  So he got his 80 year old wife (Melony), and forced her to make him pancakes as his special birthday breakfast!

“Well OK “, said Melony.

After his pancakes he ran to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Then he put a shirt on that read, it’s My Birthday. He met up with his 74 year old twin sisters.  They went to The Pizza Shop for lunch. Then William got tired and decided to go home to take a little nap.

When he got home he ran as fast as he could (1 mph) to his bed.  He passed out on the bed.  He woke up two hours later.  By that time, dinner was ready.  Melony invited the whole family over for pasta, cake and ice cream.  By the time that was done, William needed some rest. So everyone said their goodbye’s and left.

After that William and Melony sat on the couch and watched some TV.  William and Melony got tired and went to sleep.  That was the story of William’s 100^th Birthday.

It was Eagles vs. Patriots, the score was 0 to 7, the Eagles where winning.  I am an Eagles quarterback and I score again.  It was 14 to 0 at the end of the 1^st quarter.  It was 35 to 0, the Eagles were winning during the 3rd quarter.  Then the score was 48 to 7. It was the 4^th

quarter and the patriots got a field goal.  Finally I scored again and I won 55 to 3.

Why do we use emoticons? Why are there so many different kinds of an emoticons? There are answers. For the first question, the answer is simple; to show an emotion.  If you were being sarcastic and someone is actually taking them seriously, things could get rough. We also use emoticons  to show your other emotions like happy, mad and sad.

The second  question is answered very very easily.  There are different kinds of emoticons because  you have other things to tell.  For example, if someone did not know how to read, they could put the party emoticon.  That is why emoticons are important!

The Lightning Thief

In the book, The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson, an 11 year old dyslexic kid, learns that he is very different from everyone else and is a half blood. His friend Grover breaks this news to him after Percy overheard Grover and his teacher talking about him having an illusion.  Then, Zeus, a God, lost his lightning bolt and Percy is the prime suspect.  Can anything else go wrong with Percy?

              The final Adventure

Warning: this is terribly GROSS!

Splat! All of a sudden Bob Fred was sitting on the ground covered with snot, skulls, and acid, a LOT of acid.  Finally, Bob Fred opened his eyes and saw grass and a statue, a statue of the KING.  In front of it were two other statues, one of Connie and one of Freddy.

“Connie, Freddy, no! I’m too late, why did they do this… whyyyy?!?!” cried Bob Fred. 

“Wah ha ha you really are too late. I will take over this kingdom without even starting a war!” came a mysterious voice from the bushes.

“Who said that?” Said Bob Fred. 

“It was I, the great Dr. Cyclops, the creator of all cyclops in the world!” Screeched the humongous cyclops that was coming out from the bushes. “The only way to stop me now is to defeat the giant cyclops guarding the water from the River of Slime. The river is across the Desert of Slime and over Mt. Slime and through the Man-Eating Garden of Slime.”

“Thanks for telling me” shouted Bob Fred!  Off he went.

After two days in the Desert of Slime, Bob Fred was hot and begging for water.  A day later he saw a pond and drank out of it.  Bob Fred felt better and saw the mountains.  Bob Fred went straight to the mountains.  After a few days, Bob Fred was up the mountain. He was very tired and barely could walk.  He had cuts on his knees and his feet were broken… but he went on.  Later going down the mountain, he tripped and fell down a very short cliff. He barely could walk… but he still went on. He finally went to the bottom and got into the garden. There were many huge flowers and Bob Fred was nervous… but he still went on.

For many days Bob Fred was avoiding huge man-eating flowers. '

One of the flowers started walking and Bob Fred ran as fast as he could. Bob Fred accidentally jabbed the flower with his horn and the flower fell onto the other flowers and those flowers bit the flower and there was a big huge mess… but Bob Fred still went on.  Finally, Bob Fred got through to the river. Waiting for him was a colossal (words weren’t large enough to describe him) cyclops. Bob Fred screamed his biggest screamed and ran right at the cyclops. 

Like the flower, Bob Fred jabbed the huge cyclops with his horn and he fell into the River of Slime.  Unlike the flower, the cyclops disappeared. In the cyclops’s place there was a bottle of the Water of Slime and a portal back home.  Bob Fred jumped in the portal and splashed the water on Dr. Cyclops.  Dr. Cyclops disappeared and the statues turned to people.  Bob Fred got appointed king of Myth Land.   Fred gave him a hug and Connie gave him a kiss.

The Life of Bob Fred the Unicorn Book 1: the Statue of the King

Warning: if you like stories with happy endings you’d be better off reading some other story.

A long time ago there was a unicorn named Bob Fred (or BF for short).  He had a pretty normal life at the time.  

One day his friend Freddy, the phoenix (F for short) gave Bob Fred terrible news.

“Bob Fred, the king has disappeared” Freddy said to Bob Fred. 

“Oh no, where is he” said Bob Fred to Freddy.

“Duh he disappeared, that means to vanish under suspicious circumstances.” 

“Oh” replied Bob Fred. 

Carlene Horsebird came around the corner.  Bob Fred did not like Carlene at all but Carlene thought Bob Fred was her “hubbywubby” and her “horned hairiness.” When Carlene came around the corner Bob Fred immediately hid behind a tree.  Bob Fred didn’t have a very large head which meant that he didn’t have a very big brain either.  Bob Fred finally figured out that his body was bigger than a tree.  Carlene just laughed and said “silly baby trying to escape from me.” 

The next day Bob Fred decided to go with Freddy to the mystical castle and Carlene decided to go with them. When they got there Freddy saw a statue. “That looks exactly like the king” said Bob Fred.

Suddenly, a really, really tall giant came out of nowhere. ‘’ Fe fi fo fum I spy a guy with wings for a thumb” yelled the giant.

“I suggest we run” whispered Freddy. Bob Fred ran and ran as fast as he could but he was no match for the Giant. 

Within two minutes of running the giant picked up Bob Fred and threw him as far as he could. Bob Fred screamed the whole way. Bob Fred landed. He expected to land and be really injured but he was totally fine. He looked down and saw that he landed in a jail cell full of pillows.  In his cell he had a small toilet and… A TV! Bob Fred immediately turned it to the mystical news channel. He wasn’t very happy with what he saw.  He saw that all his friends were taken along with the Statue of the King.

The Rockets’ franchise joined the National Basketball Association (NBA) as the San Diego Rockets in 1967.  In the early years the Rockets had the great Elvin Hayes. In the 1980s, the Twin Towers, Ralph Sampson and Akeem (he later changed his name to Hakeem) Olajuwon.  After winning their first-ever NBA championship, the Houston Rockets came out in 1994-95 and were even more remarkable than the season before.  Rudy Tomjanovich became the all-time winningest coach of the Houston Rockets.  In the 2014-15 season the Rockets made it to the playoffs.  First, they beat the Los Angeles Clippers.  The series was 3-1, the Clippers had to win one more game. The Rockets came back and won the series 4-3.  Then, they played the Golden State Warriors.  The Rockets lost the series 4-1.  They are still great!

Stop Bullying and be Kind!

          Hi, my name is Emily and I believe that being kind is important to everyone.  If you are kind, people will be kind back to you and if you’re mean people might be mean back. Think about it this way, if you kick someone then they might kick someone else and on and on it goes. If your kind then the person you were kind to will be kind to someone else and on and on it goes.  So which one would you want to have?  

I have a saying and it goes like this: “think with you mind and then be kind.”  When you are about to bully someone think about this…what you would do if your mom or teacher was there.  Would you still bully that person?  I think not.  If you are a bystander, which means you saw someone get bullied, don’t wait to tell.  Most of the time, a bully does not really know what he or she is doing.  

If you are getting bullied, remember be confident and don’t get mad.  The bully wants to see you get mad because they think it is funny.  Most importantly don’t keep it a secret.   If you are being bullied go and tell an adult.  It doesn’t mean you’re a tattletale.

There are people that can help.  Friends or adults can help.  Also, tell the bully you deserve respect and walk away proudly.  If you can’t do this then get a friend to help.  If this is happening to you, stay proud of yourself.   It happens to everyone.  Bullying is a choice so don’t chose to do it and don’t be that bystander that doesn’t tell, be the person to help.

“Alright, I‘m ready now,” said Donald, who now had full armor.  “Ok let’s head out.”

So for the next two days they explored the regions of their world.  They explored caves, dungeons and hidden places.

“Well we have been traveling for very long and we have collected enough resources to make new weapons and armor,” said Daffy. 

“Let’s head back,” said Banana Guy.

“Here Daffy,” said Donald, as he was giving him an iron sword and a tungsten pick-axe.

“Hey, what about me?” asked Banana Guy. 

“Here take this,”said Donald, as he gave him a demonite sword and a piece of iron armor.

“Well I ’m all kitted out.  Should we head out?” asked Banana Guy.

“No not yet,” said Donald, who was still making himself armor.

Terror in Nepal!

On April 26th in Nepal, disaster struck! A terrible earthquake ruined everything in sight. Many people died in the wreckage. Many people need money to live.

Over 1 million people died. A lady survived but her house caved in on her husband!

Help!

Canal view school is having a fundraiser to collect money for the people in Nepal.

The money will go towards putting the houses back up and to keep them safe. You can help by giving 1 penny or $1!
