It's Raining Ice Cream

It's Snowing Ice Cream!
By Casey

One day in December, all the kids in Fibberton were hoping to have a snow day. They all dreaded school.  Their school had awful teachers, and those teachers were always giving people punishments for no reason.  Sometimes they would not have any recess, even if the kids were good!  Also, the kids haven’t had a snow day since 1997, so the kids hoped they were going to have a snow day.  They all thought they knew that they weren't going to have a snow day All the kids turned their TV's to channel ten, and they waited for the newsman to say if their city's schools were going to be closed.  They waited, and waited, and waited, and finally they announced "annnnnnnndFibberton!"  All the kids screamed with joy and they all immediately put their snow gear on and they all ran outside but when they got out there they noticed something odd about the snow.  It smelled like dessert and the snow was all different colors.  Then finally, one of the kids tasted it and screamed "IT"S SNOWING ICE CREAM!" The adults all heard the scream and they immediately put on their snow gear and they ran outside too.   Everyone was picking up the ice cream and stuffing it in their mouths.  This was the best day ever in Fibberton.
The next day, the kids were so excited because there was another news report on how there might be another snow day.  All the kids, once again, turned their TV's to channel ten, and they waited, and they waited, and they waited, and finally the news reporter said "annnnnnnndFibberton!"  Once again, the kids immediately got their snow gear on and they all ran outside, but this time, the snow was all white and brown, and this time all the kids tasted it, and they all screamed "IT'S SNOWING CAKE!"  The parents once again heard the kids and they immediately put on their snow gear and they all ran outside.  This was the second best day in Fibberton ever.
The next day, the kids were all thinking in their minds "there's no way there is going to be another snow day."   They guessed right.  Yesterday was the last day of the snow day streak.  But when the kids got to school, there was something weird about the school.  It was much more colorful, and much more decorated.  The best of all, all the teachers were acting very nice, and cheerful.  From that day on out, Fibberton Elementary was the best school in America.

The New Home...

One day, Taylor woke up to the birds chirping, it was 7:30 am and Taylor was late for school.  She needed to be at school by 8:09 am.  She didn't have time to get ready, eat breakfast and she didn't know what to do.  By the time she got to school her class was doing math.  They had just started.  When Taylor got home her mom was packing.
"Taylor can you go and pack you books?" Her mom asked. Taylor forgot that today is moving day.
"Ok mom, I'll go and pack my books"
" Thanks Taylor."
After she packed all her books, some of her shoes and her clothes she went to eat dinner.  She couldn't go to school the next day because she had to pack, pack, pack ALL DAY LONG. Taylor kept thinking about the new house.  She was scared because she thought the bus wouldn't pick her up.  OH NO IT’S A NIGHTMARE!!!

She moved into the house.  It wasn't as bad as she thought.  Taylor made lots of friends.  One was Morgen.  She got to decorate her room.  It was cuteit had pink walls and blue polka dots; it was her dream room.  She loved every part of the house.  It was a huge house.
Taylor said to her Mom, "I LOVE this house, make sure we  don’t move."
The next day she went to school, she talked about her new house and her new friends.  ALL of her friends were happy that Taylor made new friends and got a new house.
Three months later, Taylor went to her Aunt Lily’s house.  She was moving to a different street 5 minutes away She also got a nice house.
Taylor got a new bed set, new clothes and shoes she loved Anna, an old friend, came over to Taylor’s house and they played together had a sleepover together. Anna loved her new house too.

Taylor, Mom and her new dog {that she found at the park} all loved their house.  Taylor didn’t want to move at all.  She loved that house and then Taylor went to 6th grade.  Everything changed everything....
