The Thrill
By Morgan
In the early 1940's an amusement park named Adventure Land opened. It was famous for it's amazing corn dogs and the biggest roller coaster in the world at the time. Only three years after they opened on July 28, 1943, things were going well. Corn dogs were selling, bumper cars were bumping but then all of a sudden there was a crash and people were screaming... loudly. It turns out that the wood cracked while the coaster was going upwards and the cable snapped then people went flying backwards. Ten people were seriously injured and 4 people died. The park soon closed.
In 2007, two dumb boys decided to go into the abandoned theme park. Nobody had been there in years and some claimed it was haunted by the people who died on the roller coaster. The boys didn't care what the smart people said. They went in anyways. They picked the tough lock to the metal gate and got in. They found the corn dog stand. It was dirty and rusty. They actually found a moldy corn dog on the stand. They were dumb enough to eat it.
After climbing through all the fun houses and kiddie rides they eventually found the messed up roller coaster. They got to the stand where they controlled the coaster. The buttons were pretty simple. An "on" button and an "off" button. One of the boys got in the nasty old seat and the other boy turned on the "on" button. The coaster slowly went up, and up, and up until it reached the top. The boy realized how far it went up and finally put the seat belt on.
But how is it going up if the cable snapped? How? Before the boy knew it the coaster went down. But, it didn't go down like a normal coaster would. It flew off the tracks and into some bushes. After that the boys were never to be seen again.
