A Thanksgiving Day

A Thanksgiving Day
By Rachel

“Its thanksgiving!” yelled Ally running down the stairs.  Alex woke up to the loud yelling.  “Be quiet!” he said rolling off his bed.  Ally ignored him and ate her pancakes.  After breakfast Alex was getting his tie and suit on.  Ally was getting a pure white dress with purple outlines on.

DING DONG! “That must be Aunt and Uncle Salaroom,” said Mom while walking to the door.  Alex ran to the couch and sat with his hands in his laps.  “Hello Aunt and Uncle Salaroom,” said Ally.  When the rest of the guests arrived they all sat down for the feast.  “Pass me the mashed potatoes and turkey please” said Ally politely.  When all the people finished their food, Grandpa Polka passed out the dessert.  It was little sugar cookies.
“MMMMMMMMMM” said Alex while taking a bite of his cookie.

When all the guest left Ally sat down with Alex.  “We finally didn’t fight today!” she said very happily.  “Who cares!” said Alex. “Me!” said Dad.  “And for that you each get a gift!”  Ally got a secret password journal and Alex got a new Pokemon game.  At bedtime Ally climbed up her ladder to the top of the bunk bed and threw a pillow at Alex.  “Good night bro” she said while falling to sleep.  “Good night sis,” he said while falling to sleep.  It was the best day ever for them.

African Elephants
By Riley
African elephants are the largest land animal that live on earth. There are two kinds of elephants, the Asian elephant and the African elephant.  Here are some facts about African elephants.
The African elephant is a mammal, it is also a bit bigger than the Asian elephant (when they are an adult). African elephants have small and rounded ears, and have heights of 10 to 12 ft. and weight of 7,900 to 12,000lbs.
Did you know that an African elephant hears through their foot!  If you want to hear like an elephant you can go to a table and put your ear up to it and pound on the table!  Isn’t it funny how they have giant ears but the elephants just listen through their foot!?
African elephants are in danger. They are in danger because people are killing them to use their tusks! If you want to get involved you can donate through Roots and Shoots or The World Wildlife Foundation!

 Nights at

      Freddy’s by Zach
Five nights at Freddy’s is probably one of the scariest games out there. There are 4 characters in the game Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the bunny, Chika the chick and Foxy the pirate fox.  There is also a secret character called Golden Freddy. In the game, there are 2 doors, one on the right and one on the left. Here are some pictures of the characters.

Big Foot
By Sammy
The woods is a dangerous place. But nothing is as dangerous as the Big Foot. I saw him myself. When we met, he made sure he punched me in the face really hard. Then he tranquilized me with a tranquilizer dart. I woke up sometime later not knowing of those tragic 6 seconds. I membered when I saw the photo of me getting socked by Big Foot. I had a weird pain whenever I looked at that photo.  The pain was not from getting that 6 inch dart out of my back or because I was just flat out embarrassed or because I had heartburn. Something felt off…Find what felt off in part 2.

Titanic
By Jack
In 1912 the Titanic sailed from England to the United States of America.  There were more than 1,500 people. They sailed through the Atlantic Ocean.  The boat hit an iceberg, the motor stopped. The boat strolled   forward   ,   then started sinking.  People were screaming.  About   1,542 people died. About 700 people lived.  The Titanic will be very popular for many years.

Cats
Everywhere!

Are you a cat person or a dog person? Well for one thing, I am a cat person. Some people think that cats are mean and nasty, but a cat can become your best friend. Cats are friendly, soft, and cuddly pets that are friends. Dogs are great too, but I like cats. Even if you like dogs, try a cat. It might change your point of view.

Our Local Librarian

Miss. Strang
                                                                              By Ada

Miss. Strang is a librarian at the Ogden Farmers Library.  She is good with kids and works the story time.

When choosing a career, she first thought of being a reporter, but in the end she decided to be a librarian. She decided this because while volunteering at her kid's school, the librarian convinced her to go back to school.  Miss. Strang  says she likes everything about being a kid's librarian.  She has also worked at the Rochester Downtown Library.

Books she suggests to kids to read are Moon Over Manifest and anything written by Mo Willems. Finley, she likes kids because they are fun, imaginative and truthful.  I hope now you have a new understanding about our local Librarian.
