            Running out Of Time is a young adult book about a girl named Jessie written by Margaret Peterson Haddix.  She lives in the 1840’s in Idaho…… or so she thinks.  Really, she lives on a historical preserve in 1996.   When diphtheria strikes the town, things get mysterious.  Children are dropping like flies. People watch Jessie all the time at school and at home.  Her mother sends her on a dangerous mission to find help. But Jessie encounters more than she expects.
