A Big Mistake

One day, me and my friend Greg were playing around in the backyard together. Greg got bored of kickball, so he said he wanted a drink. He got his water, he snuck back into my house, he thought I didn't know that he snuck into my house but I knew he did because I heard the door screech and squeak. So I said to myself, "what is he doing now?" Then, Greg walked out of the door with my soccer ball. At first, I was OK with it, but after like ten minutes he started to try and puncture the ball with a stick! I immediately yelled "DON'T DO THAT, GREG!" "I HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN TWO DAYS!" Greg wouldn't stop trying to puncture my ball! So finally I yelled "STOP!" "What's the secret word?" Greg said. "Please...." I said. "I will stop, but you never said I couldn't KICK!" Greg yelled. Then Greg kicked the ball as hard as he could and the ball went flying! It went so high it went into a tree, than it got stuck on a branch and ripped open. Now my ball was gone and I didn't have a ball for the championship game! So me and Greg had to try and earn enough money to buy a new ball for me, and we had to do it quickly.
The next day, Greg and I were trying to come up with ideas of how we would earn money. Then Greg said "maybe we could make a lemonade stand." "We could do that, but we have to make the lemonade, make the stand, figure out the prices and we only have one day to do it because my game is tomorrow." I said. So I started making the lemonade and I didn't know how to make lemonade, so I had to search through my mom's cook books to try and find a book that showed me how to make lemonade. eventually found a book with a lemonade recipe in it and I started making the lemonade. While I was making the lemonade, Greg was making the stand and figuring out the prices. We both agreed on the prices, which would be one dollar per cup of lemonade, and refills were fifty cents, but we didn't know how we would make the stand, so Greg decided to just draw a picture of a stand and he just tried to copy the drawing. Greg had to use cardboard, paper, scissors, and markers. It took me about thirty minutes to make the lemonade, but it took Greg two hours to make the stand. When we were both done it was 1:00pm, so we had time to set up the stand, and get paper cups ready. Five minutes after setting up we had one costumer. He bought one cup of lemonade, and he loved it so he said "do you guys take tips?" "Uhmm, sure!" I said. Than he gave us a tip of two dollars and bought a refill for fifty cents. Now we had three dollars and fifty cents, just from one customer! About an hour later we had six customers and two of them gave us one dollar tips. So now we had eleven dollars and fifty cents. We had over half of the amount we needed but it was getting later. Now it was 2:30, and more people had to go back in their house's, so it was going to be harder to sell the lemonade. Within the next hour, we only got three costumers, and non of them gave us tips, but we were very close to getting enough money because a new soccer ball costed twenty dollars, and we had fourteen dollars and fifty cents! All we needed was a couple customers and we would have enough! We were waiting, and waiting, and waiting, but then a customer came and he bought a cup of lemonade, and he really liked it, so he bought a refill, and he gave us a tip of two dollars! Now we had nineteen dollars, and all we needed was one more customer. We waited an hour, and finally a customer came and he bought a cup of lemonade! We finally had enough, but than he spilled the cup, so we gave him his dollar back, luckily, he bought another cup and we got the dollar back.
Greg and I walked to the sports store, and we looked for the soccer isle. We looked for the soccer balls, I looked for the soccer ball I liked, then we walked over to the cashier, and gave him the twenty dollars, and I got the ball. All we had to do was go home, so Greg and I walked back to our houses, and went to bed.
The next day, I went over to the soccer field with my team. The match started, not a single person scored, it was still tied zero, zero, than it was halftime. Halftime ended, and the game started again. Still no one scored, until I scored with one minute to go, and my team was winning! Then, the game ended, and my team had won! My coach eventually let me take the trophy, and I put it on my biggest shelf, and I also loved my new ball.
