Grand Master Postwaite

By Ada.

Grand Master Postwaite is my karate teacher.  He has been teaching for more than 20 years.  He is a 10 time Black Belt Champion.  I think he is a great karate teacher.  I think this because he always knows what he is doing and is very good at karate.  He is also very funny.

He started doing karate when he was 10 because he had a stutter and was picked on.  Also he was overweight.  He was 200 pounds when he was 10!  He had low self-esteem.  Karate helped him feel good about himself.  He practiced every day!

He traveled internationally.   He was the US and Canadian champion.  It took 40 years to become a Grand Master.   Grand Master Postwaite became Mohamad Ali’s bodyguard along with Joe Frazier.

He works well with kids and adults.  This is what makes him a really good teacher.
