Severe weather can be very Dangerous!

Severe weather can cause death.

Tsunamis

Tsunamis are massive waves; they can destroy a whole town. There can be more than 1 wave. The 1st one isn't always the biggest one.

Hurricanes

Hurricanes are very strong winds. The eye is the calm part and the eye wall is the worst part of the storm.  When the storms come, they are thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms are loud thunder and lightning. Count to five until you hear thunder because it will tell you how far away it is.  Every 5 seconds equals one mile away.

Blizzards

Blizzards are Very cold winter storms. There is very heavy snow. Some snow can cause avalanches ( only in mountains).

Tornadoes

Tornadoes are Violent and destroy everything in its path. Nebraska, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Mississippi and Missouri are where Tornadoes happen.
